Construction of the new Government Offices in Funafuti, Tuvalu was completed in 2005. This is a 4 storey concrete structure constructed of in-situ concrete and precast concrete slabs with timber and metal roof trusses. The client was the Government of Tuvalu and the project value was AUD$11,500,000. This project presented serious logistical difficulties due to the lack of local resources available for the project. All materials, including water, had to be shipped to this remote Island so that construction could occur. This project could not have succeeded without the detailed planning that is NPM Group's expertise. |
